Currently My Favorite Commercial

This one’s been around for awhile, but I just love it!  This proves that women are born already knowing how to make “the look”.  Men, you know the look I’m talking about so I’ll discuss it no further.  Those of you that don’t know it, just watch….you’ll see it.

Mathmagician

This post is directed at anyone who REALLY likes numbers (like my Dad). This guy is ridiculous. As you watch this realize that I probably wouldn’t qualify to be one of the roobs onstage operating a calculator.

“a-shave-and-a-haircut-…the-theif’s-in”!

How often do you think to yourself, “Man, if only I could unlock the door to my house or business with a special knock then I could do away with these hard to use keys”? Well, Steve Hoefer must have thought that a lot. A WHOLE LOT because he created what you see above. Now don’t get me wrong…I admire his work, passion, and dedication to his project. Shoot, I even kinda want one. But man, if this EVER became a regular thing people have on their doors a lot of insurance claims are going to be filed.
It’s amazing what a guy can come up with when he has some PVC pipe, dead bolt lock, some shower suction cups, no job, and time on his hands from being an out of work Radio Shack employee. Anyway, enjoy this and if you feel so inclined you can pop on over to his website and take a gander.
(Yo Steve, the truth is I really like your SKDDL (Secret Knock Detecting Door Lock). I’m just poking fun because I didn’t think of it first. Good luck man….I honestly hope you can get some investors or someone to buy the patent. I know what it’s like to create something that a lot of people use.)

Why We DON’T Need Socialized Medicine

Finally someone corrects this false youtube video that’s been going around. Nice!
I’m sure some of my liberal buddies are gonna flame me over this one but I don’t care. The truth is the truth.

Creation vs. Evolution

To say I’m excited about this would be an understatement. God Bless you Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. I am personally planning on handing out this book on the Wake Forest Campus here in Winston Salem NC. Time to get my church’s Men’s Bible Study Group involved. I’m on board!!! Who’s with me on this?

Me Church

Didn’t make it to church today? Maybe the services start to early. Maybe you don’t like that one couple who goes there. Maybe you’re worried the senior pastor is going to talk about that tithing thing again. Maybe you just lucked out this morning and your significant other overslept. Maybe you really wish you COULD find a “Me Church” to attend. Maybe……
but I hope not.

OnLive looks Alright!

I’ve been following this technology for awhile and am still not sure it’s believable. I mean, I want to believe it…really. So what is it? What’s the big deal? I’ll tell you:
Like a lot of guys my age, I have several gaming systems in my house. A wii, PS3, XBox 360 (broken), and a few computers. It’s necessary to have multiple units because of gameplay, resolution, and availability. OnLive looks to change all of that.
Amazingly, they claim they can “stream”, in real time, games to your television (or computer) with a small hardware device. They say they can do this will little to no latency, at full frame rate, and at full resolution. It sounds impossible to me. Still, if it’s even remotely true this will change everything. And I mean…EVERYTHING!! Renting games from Gamefly = over. PS3/360/Wii sales = down
Watch the video and let me know what you think fellow geeks. I look forward to it.
Here’s a little explanation for those of you who need it.

Drone Controllers Execute Hellfire Strike

My 14 year old nephew LOVES video games. He would rather play them than eat. (This is NOT an exaggeration) So,…where could he apply his skills when he grows up while still receiving a nice paycheck? The military of course! I spent 4 years in the Army and am better for it. I’m looking forward to showing him this video so he can have something to refer to when people say “You can’t make a living by playing video games!”. Uh…yeah…you can.
We have all seen the UAV drone videos, but you never get to see who is behind the control and what is going on. All of it is controlled from Nevada. In this simulation they demonstrate their ability to control dozens of these units at the same time. The video looks almost all real except for the explosion at the end, I always thought the military video simulation looked pretty weak compared to more modern PC games but this one looks good. These Controllers are non-pilots but they are each flying a drone thousands of miles away in the combat zone. This mess is awesome!
